Santiniketan Beach Resort is on the west beach of Saint martin’s island. It’s an eco-resort made by locally available materials like bamboo, wood, stone and mud. Because of the mind-blowing sea view from the resort, amazing exterior and interior paintings, budget friendliness and warm hospitality from the staff, Santiniketan has become one of the most attractive travel destinations for couples, family, group or solo travelers. We have 12 rooms that includes couple rooms, double rooms and dorms big enough for a 12-person group, and our own restaurant over 30 decimal area on the seashore.

West beach is the most popular part of the island to the visitors, due to its calm and quiet environment, and the best for photography and videography. Our visitors have the advantage of enjoying the sunset and the marvelous scenic beauty of west beach through their windows or sitting on a hammock.

Chhera Island or Chhera Dwip, also known as Cheradia is an extension of Saint martin’s island that becomes separated during the high tide but connected to the main island during ebb tide. This is the last point of Bangladesh in the south, but no one lives there permanently. Any traveler wants to reach that farthest point as there’s no land of Bangladesh after this. Small trawlers carrying the tourists leave daily from two trawler wharfs (or Trawler Ghat). As both of the wharfs are in close proximity to our resort, our guests can reach there on foot, and need not to pay any extra cost for transportation to the wharfs.

The only local market in Saint martin’s island is just a half of a kilometer distance from Santiniketan Beach Resort. Tourists like to visit the market to purchase dry fish, live fish BBQ, renting bicycles to roam around the island, money transactions or to buy any daily necessary items. Because of this close distance, our guests need not to take any hassle to check Saint martin’s Market.

All the tourist ships anchor together in the Jetty Ghat, and again start their voyage from here at almost the same time of the day. For that reason, the Jetty Ghat becomes very crowded when travelers reach the island or leave the island, so it becomes very difficult to find a ride (Easy bike, Van or Rikshaw) and they demand a high fare. As Santiniketan Beach Resort is only half of a kilometer from the Jetty Ghat, our guests can reach the resort with minimal fare or in 10/15 minutes on foot.

Santiniketan Beach Resort has its own sunset view restaurant and coffee shop, from where guests can choose and order their desired menu that includes different sea and freshwater fishes, dry fishes, chicken, beef, mutton, vegetables and so on. Our guests can also have BBQ of sea fish or chicken at night while enjoying the night view of the sea.
